On the 12th, the closing ceremony and flag handover of the 2022 National Disabled Games in Taichung was held on the 1st floor of the affiliated multi-sport center of Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, with the participation of Nantou Deputy County Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng. This year, 2,047 athletes with disabilities from 22 counties and cities showed their skills and talents in the four-day event. Under the witnesses of the representatives of the counties and cities, after taking the flag, Deputy County Magistrate Chen invited everyone to come to Nantou for the 2024 sport event and have some good tea along the way. Deputy County Magistrate Chen attended event on behalf of the county magistrate Lin Ming-chen, saying that the next National Disabled Games will be held in Nantou County. To make it convenient for athletes with disabilities from all over the country to come to Nantou, the county government will provide an appropriate, nice and safe venue to manifest the “loving and barrier-free” spirit of the event and allow players to go all out for the event without any worries. Chen also mentioned that the county magistrate Lin attaches great importance to the development and promotion of sports in Nantou, and that some achievements in sports have been made already. Among 22 counties and cities in national competitions, Nantou County has always placed top 7, including the 2022 National Disabled Games in Taichung, with an outstanding performance of 8 golds and 11 silvers, which was made possible because of continuous efforts by players of Nantou County. Chen also invited people in Taiwan to come to Nantou for the 2024 sport event and have a trip and some good tea along the way.
