The county government is committed to improving the road landscape and pedestrian environment in Nantou, as well as pushing for road quality improvement plans on safe pathways to schools and bikeways, with the focus of people-oriented transportation and environmental sustainability. To bring the idea of people-oriented transportation into people’s hearts, the county government has designed a mascot “This Stag” this year, with the “Pang Ka” propaganda car showing interesting and vivid teaching materials, introducing the idea of people-oriented transportation in campuses and people’s lives. In addition, an online teaching interactive website has been created, which consists of elements of online games and pet-raising that schoolchildren love, with the hope to convey the substantial meaning of people-oriented transportation and allow children to learn about the concept from an early age. On the morning of the 27th, under the cooperation with the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior, the county government held a press conference for the launch of a series of events of Nantou’s People-oriented Transportation and Education Promotion in the lobby on the first floor of the county government. Deputy County Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng and Yeh Chun-hung, deputy head of the Central Engineering Office, Construction and Planning Agency, announced the official launch of a series of events of this year’s human-oriented transportation and education promotion, saying that they will continue to improve the county’s human-oriented transportation and education promotion. In the press conference, the mascot “This Stag” and “Hello Hello,” an MV created especially for Nantou’s human-oriented transportation by Huang, Hsiao-mei, a well-known YouTuber, were introduced. Deputy County Magistrate Chen said that Nantou has many unique and beautiful natural landscapes, featured products, and a variety of tourism activities. In addition to having a sound infrastructure for transportation, caring for people and promoting sustainable and eco-friendly development are the focuses. To help people of different age groups better understand the idea of human-oriented transportation and the importance of human-oriented transportation construction to the environment and ecology, the county government has strived for subsidies from the Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior, this year to anthropomorphize the idea of human-oriented transportation and create the mascot “This Stag.” By combing with campus and community promotional activities through entertainment-education media and from the perspective of education promotion, the concept of people-oriented transportation will be introduced to more people.
