Lin Chun-wu, former director of the Social and Labor Affairs of the Nantou County Government, died from a disease last year. He was dedicated to civic affairs and cared for the disadvantaged groups. Continuing his legacy, Lin’s offspring have decided to donate an ambulance “Chun Wu,” purchased with condolence money of more than NT$ 2 million, to Nantou County, hoping to contribute to emergency medical services, safeguard Nantou’s residents, help more people in need and continue the love in the time of exacerbating COVID-19. The donation ceremony was held at the County Magistrate Office in the afternoon of the 11th. Witnessed by County Councilor Chang Chia-che, Director Chen Nan-sung and Deputy Director Wu Mei-ling of the Health Bureau and others, the ambulance was presented by Lin’s wife Chang Ying-fang, first brother Lin Chin-yung, second brother Lin Chun-yuan, Lin’s son Lin Yi-lung, and Lin’s goddaughters Chien Chia-lin and Hsieh Chia-chun and received by County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen on behalf. The love from Lin’s family is appreciated. County Magistrate Lin said that he and Lin Chun-wu were elected as county councilors in the same year, and that Lin Chun-wu served as the Nantou County mayor while he was the JiJi Township mayor. Hearing of Lin’s passing, the county magistrate is really upset as they were like brothers. Lin Chun-wu contributed a lot to Nantou City. The San-He-Ta-Pai Parking Lot and Lumei Bridge were built during his term and Zushi Bridge was first proposed and planned by him. Various infrastructures have brought conveniences to Nantou. Even though he’s passed away, his family used the condolence money to purchase an ambulance and donated it to help more people in need and be of service for Nantou’s residents. County Magistrate Lin gives thanks for such love on behalf of Nantou’s residents.
