Chien Kuo-chuan, chairman of Truepower Company, who work outside Nantou County, and Lin Li-hua, a board of directors of Hongtai Power, donated an ambulance together to Nantou as they wanted to give back to society and fulfill their corporate social responsibility. Ms. Tai Mei-hsueh also donated a portable automatic CPR machine to enhance capacity for emergency services. Director-General Hung Jui-chih of the Nantou County Government expressed his sincere gratitude for their donations and hoped that their actions will encourage others to do the same to join forces to provide emergency services. In the afternoon of the 24th, the Fire Bureau, Nantou County Government held a donation ceremony at the Nantou Branch, 1st First Control Group, Fire Department. The ceremony was presided over by Director-General Hung Jui-chih and attended by Chien Kuo-chuan, chairman of Truepower Company, and Lin Li-hua, a board of directors of Hongtai Power. An ambulance was donated by the two donors personally and a portable automatic CPR machine was donated by the CPR machine manufacturer on behalf of Ms. Tai Mei-hsueh. Director-General Hung received the donations on behalf and presented certificates of appreciation and souvenirs in return. The ceremony was simple but grand. Hung said with social change and the advance of technology comes more potential danger. Natural disasters, traffic accidents and incidents occur quite often, resulting in an increase in cases related to emergency health services in Nantou. The demand for quality emergency health services is higher day by day. As the survival of the injured depends on the quality of emergency health services before arriving at the hospital, more medical resources are needed. Hung appreciated Chairman Chien of Truepower Company and Director Lin of Hongtai Power for donating an ambulance and he also gave thanks to Ms. Tai for donating a portable automatic CPR machine. The donations will be used by the Fire Bureau, Nantou County Government for emergency health services, which is very helpful for enhancing the quality of Nantou’s emergency health services. In addition to providing Nantou’s residents with the best quality of medical care, it also makes fire and ambulance personnel safer by providing better means of ambulance services for the injured, which is extremely helpful for strengthening the emergency rescue capabilities of Nantou’s emergency medical network.
