The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle has newly added the Puli Route that departs from Taichung to Puli township for sightseeing. With this new route, there is one Taichung-Puli shuttle bus available every half an hour. More importantly, a summer special campaign has been launched. From now until September 30, passengers can take the Puli Route and enjoy a half-price discount by using e-tickets. It costs only NT$ 49 to travel from Puli to the Taiwan High Speed Rail (train station)! On the 14th, County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen presided over the opening ceremony of the Puli Route of Taiwan Tourist Shuttle. Together with Legislator Hsu Shu-hua, who was a major contributor to the new service of the Puli Route, Lin welcomed the passengers, who took the very first Taichung-Puli shuttle bus and presented Puli’s Shaohsing eggs as souvenirs. Lin also warmly invited everyone to seize the opportunity to go out for a trip as the pandemic has started to wind down during the summer vacation. Nantou County would be the best choice as it has beautiful mountains and rivers. Lin also encouraged people to visit Puli Township for flower viewing and delicious food by making good use of the services of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle. County Magistrate Lin appreciated Legislator Hsu Shu-hua for actively pushing for the addition of the Puli Route after the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle added the Xitou Route B last month. It is expected that the Jiji Route will be added in August. As the county magistrate, Lin has made every effort to promote Nantou as a tourist capital. The Fuxing Hot Spring Area successfully developed by the county government is bound to become the biggest feature to attract tourists to Puli. Also, the county government will invest another NT$ 65 million to revitalize Puli Liyu Lake into a new attraction for night tours, along with the high-altitude view on the helium balloon in the Caotun 99 Peaks Art and Ecological Park and the Qiao-Song-Yun-Tian Greenery Sculpture Park in Guoxing Township. It is expected that in addition to the popular Sun Moon Lake and Qingjing Farm, a new tourism highlight along the Zhongtan Highway will be created to promote green and low-carbon tourism.
