On the eve of Father’s Day this year, to express the greatest respect for those who are mothers and fathers, the Nantou County Government held a grand ceremony honoring mothers and fathers in Nantou who are role models at the Nantou Exhibition Center on the 4th. The ceremony was presided over by Deputy County Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng. Later, plaques were given to 17 model mothers and 16 model fathers in Nantou, expressing gratitude to these award-winning mothers and fathers. Legislators Hsu Shu-hua and Ma Wen-chun also presented plaques to congratulate them, respectively, creating a lively and warm atmosphere. Deputy County Magistrate Chen said that the event to celebrate Mother’s Day and give awards to model mothers, which was originally scheduled to be held in May, was postponed due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the relevant epidemic prevention measures of the Central Epidemic Command Center. Until today, which is also Chinese Valentine’s Day, a ceremony celebrating Father’s Day and honoring both model fathers and mothers was held, which is very meaningful.
