The award ceremony of the 2022 Taiwan High Mountain Tea Spring Tea Competition held by the Renai Township Farmers’ Association of Nantou County was postponed for 2 months due to the pandemic. On the 13th, the ceremony was resumed and held. County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen presented an award to the grand prize winner—Leqing Tea and tried some of the new products for everyone first, such as zucchini noodles, camellia oil and organic plum vinegar and heavily recommended them. County Magistrate Lin said that the Nantou County Government will continue to subsidize the development of each township farmers’ association in the county at a minimum of NT$ 1.5 million as helping farmers’ associations is also directly benefiting the farmers. The Renai Township Farmers’ Association held the Taiwan High Mountain Tea Competition to build brand awareness and enhance the development of the tea industry in Nantou County, which ranks first in Taiwan in terms of production and output value. It is worthy of recognition. Recently, the Renai Township Farmers’ Association has developed a new special product that combines tomatoes, zucchinis and noodles in cooperation with the Industrial Technology Research Institute. It is tasty and worth recommending. Nantou County’s annual tea output is more than 7,300 tons, of which nearly 50% is to be exported. However, the export to China has recently been disrupted, which requires the attention and assistance of various parties in order to help farmers overcome adversity.
