On the 18th, the Nantou City Water Recycling Center, with a total expenditure of more than NT$ 460 million, has started operations, witnessed by County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen, Deputy Director Yu Wang-sheng of the Second Office, Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior, Director Shen Yi-sheng of the Central Division, Sewer Engineering Office, Construction and Planning Agency, and county councilors Chang Chia-che, Chen Han-li and Tseng Chen-yen. It is expected to improve water pollution, purify rivers in the urban planning area of Nantou City and create a better living environment for its citizens. The Nantou City Water Recycling Center is designed based on the concept of the sustainability of water resources. It covers an area of about 2.27 hectares, with an average daily sewage treatment capacity of 7,000 cubic meters. The current maximum treatment capacity is 9,100 cubic meters a day and the maximum treatment capacity is 15,680 cubic meters. After domestic sewage is purified via pumping stations, pre-treatment facilities, primary sedimentation tanks, biological treatment facilities, secondary sedimentation tanks, the disinfection system, filtration and recovery, sludge concentration and dehydration treatment processes, the quality of discharged water can meet the effluent standards of public sewage system. Subsequently, the water goes to the Maoluo River via the Pinghe Ditch, so that the sanitation can be improved for better urban development. County Magistrate Lin expresses his gratitude to the Construction and Planning Agency for their support that enables the operations of the water recycling center. There are many sewer lines under the roads. The county government will carry out the installation house-to-house. Once the installation is completed, domestic sewage will be transported to the water recycling center via sewer lines and meet the effluent standards after sewage treatment to minimize pollution. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused during the construction and thank you for your patience and cooperation.
