Nantou County celebrated the 2022 Soldiers’ Day by citing model soldiers whilst celebrating Mid-autumn festivities honoring the Armed Forces at Zhenguo Temple in Jiji Township on 5th September in the presence of representatives across society. Hung Jui-Chih, Secretary-General of Nantou County, who acted on behalf of County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen, led the delegation honoring the soldiers and hosted the award presentation ceremony where food subsidies were presented to the garrison as part of festivities. Secretary-General Hung in particular expressed his gratitude to Master Guangxin of Zhenguo Temple, who was cited as the National Model for Honoring Soldiers, with other corporations and individuals earning the same honor, including Hung Yung-Fu, the Honorable Chairman of The Nantou Import and Export Association. These organizations and individuals have provided material support and other support to boost up the morale of the Nantou garrison there, and paid their highest respects to the Armed Forces defending the country. The citation of model solders and the models for honoring soldiers, and celebrating the garrison amidst Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations was held on 5th September in a simple but solemn manner. Chen Li-Chu, Chairperson of the Nantou County Women’s League, Chang Mu-Pin, Deputy Director of the Social Welfare and Labor Department of Nantou County Government, Lai Chiung-Mei, Deputy Director of Civil Affairs Department, and representatives from the village and town offices were also present or offered food subsidies in the presence of Secretary-General Hung. The event started off with the presentation of the Model Solders Award, with the 2022 Group Award presented to the Main Parts Warehouse, Ordnance Readiness Development Center (ORDC).
