County Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen, together with Madam Lin, along with Deputy Magistrate Chen Cheng-Sheng shared the joy with the public at Mingjian Eco-Park over BBQ on the afternoon of 10th September in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Some 2000 parents and children joined the BBQ party which celebrated the festival, leading the park flooded with familial happiness and warmth.

County Magistrate Lin hosted the opening ceremony of the central event, “Mid-Autumn Children Fun BBQ Day” at 3pm, 10th September. Hung Hao-Yuan, County Councillor, Li Yen-Hui, wife to the Head of Ming Jian Village, and other guests were also invited to the opening of the event. County Magistrate Lin hoped the event could allow the public the opportunity to share the joy of celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival outdoor. This celebration also allows parents to bring their children to the park to have fun and enhance harmony within the families.

According to County Magistrate Lin, Mingjian Eco- Park is the largest ecological park the County Government designed around the theme of parent-child bonding, and was open to the public at the end of last December. Following its opening, the place quickly became the first choice destination for families looking for hiking or outdoor activities and has since attracted waves upon waves of visitors. The Mid-Autumn Festival the County Government especially organized for families in the form of a BBQ themed “Mid-Autumn Children Fun BBQ Day ” with a thousand-dollar worth of BBQ ingredients sponsored to encourage signups. The enthusiastic public response led to a complete signup shortly after registration for the event was opened.
