2022 Nantou Global Tea Expo – “Good Tea in Pot” attracted 800 thousand visitors, earning more than NT$160 million. It ended perfectly with the Thousand People Collectable Tea, October 16
The 12th Nantou Global Tea Expo 2022 ended perfectly on the 16th with the meaningful “Thousand People Collectable Tea.” After the County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen, Legislator Hsu Shu-hua and other guests finished sealing the tea for collections, County Magistrate Lin pointed out happily that, in the 9-day Tea Expo this year, there were more than 800 thousand visitors, who purchased many items while in good moods. The Expo had earned the income of NT$ 160 billion with just 300 booths and 30 galleries, creating the best results ever. It also made incredible innovations with infinite creativity, pushing Nantou’s tea industry to another apex.

In this year’s Tea Expo, in addition to increasing the air-conditioned exhibition galleries and 5-star deluxe restrooms, providing visitors with a more comfortable exhibition space, it had also increased the 30 feature exhibition galleries and included the activities of tea attendants over the past centuries, transforming the exhibition spaces at the Zhongxing Hall and the Zhongxing Playground into pedestrian and shopping zones. It had not only brought incredible business to the sales of tea but also to the transactions at the chocolate and coffee festival “Hey! Chill Day” and other agricultural products. In addition, there were other large-scale activities, such as the thousand-people tea party, thousand-people Malasang picnic, Thousand People Collectable Tea, etc. This year, the new feature Hakka thousand-people lei tea activity was introduced to the expo, allowing visitors to experience the Hakka culture. County Magistrate Lin also specially mentioned the folk song concert in the evening of the opening day. He said that, this nice listening, good eating and good traveling folk song concert had attracted many people from different age groups to enjoy the heavenly melodies of the oldies but goodies.
