Thank you for your contribution. Magistrate Lin honored the senior environmental protection volunteers in the county, November 16
To honor the environmental protection volunteers that dedicate themselves to keeping the environment clean, on the 16th, the Nantou County Government held the “2021-2022 Commendation Ceremony of Senior Environmental Prevention Volunteers” at the International Conference Hall on the fifth floor of the Caotun Township Office. Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen honored the senior environmental protection volunteers that had continued to dedicate themselves in keeping the county clean for 15 years or above and expressed his gratitude to all of them
In this commendation, the Taiko ensemble of Yanfeng Elementary School was invited to play the prelude of the ceremony. Chien Ching-Hsien, Mayor of Caotun Town also attended the ceremony. At present, there are 207 registered environmental protection volunteer teams, with a total of 7,380 people. Due to the epidemic, group gatherings were reduced. Therefore, in this year’s commendation, there were only 169 senior environmental protection volunteers with 15 years of experience or more honored.
Magistrate Lin expressed that the environmental protection volunteers are mainly seniors from different communities. They sacrifice their leisure time after working or farming to clean up the environment at the grassroots level throughout the year with total dedication for the welfare of all the people. Worthy of mentioning, Nantou is developing towards the goal of becoming a tourism town; therefore, it needs to have a clean and tidy environment to attract visitors to come and travel in Nantou. He would like to thank all the environmental protection volunteers for their endeavor and contribution in providing environmental protection and environmental conservation services on a long-term basis, willing to dedicate themselves for the cleanliness of Nantou.
