County Mayor Hsu ShuHua published her major policy achievement and expressed her enjoyment in the work challenge, April 7th.
County Mayor Hsu ShuHua has been in office for 100 days with 40 major policies implemented. She expressed in the press conference held on the morning of the 7th that the county government will implement the policy that is conducive to the development of Nantou with urgency, whether it is for transportation, social welfare, culture and education, industrial development, medical care, environmental protection, etc., and will go all out to boost the comprehensive development of Nantou to make it a "livable city."
County Mayor Hsu ShuHua’s first 100 days press conference took place on 7th, with the theme of "comprehensive development for a livable city for all ages," attended by not only Nantou County Government team (including County Mayor Hsu ShuHua, Deputy County Mayor Wang RuiDe, Secretary-general Hung JuiChih, directors of each department of the county and more than 100 colleagues), but also Nantou City Mayor Chang ChiaChe, and county councilors Lin JuYang, Yu Hao and Chien ChienHsiang. All the members of county government team wore white T-shirts to show the vitality of the team. The press conference kicked off with a pleased performance by the children in PingHe Preschool, echoing the major education policy announced by the County Mayor Hsu ShuHua that the teacher-student ratio in public kindergartens to be reduced to 1:12 in three years.
At the beginning of the press conference, the AI secretary introduced the county government's 100-day achievements. It was used to echo the county government’s administrative policies of innovation and sustainability, presenting the intelligent Nantou and its digitalization.
In her speech, County Mayor Hsu expressed that when she works in the county government, in order to serve the people with simplified procedures, she needs to spent time to go deep into many government affairs, and she enjoys this challenge. For example, she was reported that the rent and fines required to be paid at the counter, which was very inconvenient for the elderly. For this reason, the county government immediately proposed various available payment methods, expecting to utilize digital technology to improve efficiency and reduce administrative procedures in the future. In addition, she revealed that the county government actually repaid NTD$ 1.1 billion in debt in March this year causing the average debt of each county citizen dropped to NTD$ 16,700. She expressed her expectation that Nantou County residents would know what the county government is working for and offer their support and encouragement.
