2023 Nantou Chocoffee Festival was grandly kicked off on the morning of the 28th next to the Visitor Center of Fuxing Hot Spring Park in Puli Township. County Mayor Hsu ShuHua led 50 venders, including local and Taiwan well-known coffee, chocolate and souvenir brands, to warmly welcome the guests. With the aroma of coffee and rich chocolate, thousands of event goers enjoyed a fragrant and romantic holiday. In the opening ceremony, County Mayor Hsu, Deputy County Mayor Wang RuiDe, Secretary-general Hung JuiChih, together with legislator Ma WenChun, county councilors Wu Guochang, Lin FangYu, Chen YiChun, Su YuCheng, Shih ChingLong, Lin JuYang and other guests announced the official launch of the Chocoffee Festival. From now until November 7th, everyone all over Taiwan is welcome to visit Puli with friends to drink coffee, taste chocolate, go to a hot spring, enjoy fireworks, experience the fun of pour-over coffee, taste local delicacies, and enjoy the performances of popular singers and the drone fireworks show with the theme of Kanahei’s Small Animals. In addition, two large-scale activities, Thousands People Pour-Over Coffee and Thousands People Roasting Coffee Beans, were held during the event. The first large-scale activity, Thousands People Pour-Over Coffee, made its grand debut in the afternoon of the opening day. County Mayor Hsu and more than a thousand people experienced the fun of pour-over coffee with the aroma of coffee and laughter overflowed. This activity attracted a total of more than 2,000 people and families to participate. Moreover, the R&B Starlight Concert was held in the evening with every seat taken (performers included OSN (高爾宣), Kimberley Chen (陳芳語), Aden (王Aden) and other famous singers). After the concert, the drone fireworks show with the theme of Kanahei’s Small Animals brightly shined the patterns related to Nantou tourism elements such as stargazing, hot springs, and coffee in the dark sky.
