The 2026 Nantou Chocoffee Festival concluded with great success! On the morning of June 28, the closing ceremony was held at the Chocoffee Zone in Fuxing Hot Spring Park, Puli Township. Presided over by County Magistrate Hsu Shu-Hua, the ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the festival's sixth edition. In her remarks, County Magistrate Hsu noted that the 10-day event attracted more than 550,000 visitors, with total sales across all exhibition areas exceeding NT$33 million. The festival also generated an estimated NT$350 million in related spending on accommodation, dining, souvenirs, and tourism, once again demonstrating Nantou's strength as Taiwan's hub for premium coffee and chocolate while officially kicking off the summer tourism season.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to brands selected by public vote in the categories of Best Popularity, Best Booth Design, Most Innovative Booth, and Best Service. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to participating brands and partner organizations in recognition of their contributions to the festival's success. Distinguished guests included County Councilors Wu Kuo-Chang and Huang Shih-Fang, as well as Huang Ming-Hui, Director of the Service Office of Deputy Speaker Pan Yi-Chuan.

County Magistrate Hsu emphasized that this year's festival marked its sixth edition and its fourth consecutive year in Puli, achieving an overall satisfaction rate of more than 90%. Although rainfall on several days slightly affected attendance, the event still attracted an impressive 550,000 visitors and generated an estimated NT$350 million in economic output for the Puli area. She pledged that the County Government will continue refining and expanding the festival, further strengthening Nantou's premium coffee and chocolate industries, promoting local agricultural products on the international stage, and driving tourism and economic development.

Highlights of this year's festival included three highly popular large-scale "Thousand-Person Experience" activities, the Nantou Coffee Evaluation Competition, themed evening parties, dazzling fireworks displays, the Nantou ALANG Festival, cultural performances by five Indigenous tribes, and the Nantou Indigenous Voices Singing Contest. By integrating industry, culture, and tourism, the festival showcased Nantou's rich local character, positioning the Chocoffee Festival not only as a marketplace for specialty products but also as a flagship event for promoting the county's culture and tourism.
