Group wedding held at Xianshan, Nantou 50 couples took their wedding vows by the lake
Nantou County Group Wedding 2015 was held at the Sun Moon Lake Visitor Center on October 21. With 50 couples joining the ceremony, Magistrate Lin Ming-chen and Director Chang Jenn-chyan of Sun Moon Lake Administration witnessed their wedding. They took their vows to accompany their partners throughout their lives. On that day, the newly wedded couples rode on yachts and cable cars to experience the 3D water-land wedding ceremony. Some of them wore Qing style gowns, Mickey Mouse costumes, angel and devil costumes and many kinds of creative wedding gowns, constituting a romantic and interesting atmosphere.
Magistrate Lin expressed that Sun Moon Lake is surrounded by beautiful scenery, with mild climate. It attracts many new couples to take their wedding photos and spend their honeymoon there. In this group wedding, there was the capacity of 50 couples. As soon as it was opened for signing up, it was full. The County Government is planning in increase its capacity to accommodate more new couples. In addition, there is the childbirth benefit of NT$ 10 thousand for each first born baby in the county. The second baby can claim NT$ 15 thousand; and the third, NT$ 20 thousand. This benefit is provided to alleviate the financial pressure of raising children.
Led by their sponsors, these 50 new couples rode on the cable cars or Sun Moon Lake sightseeing yachts to arrive at the wedding hall in the visitor center. Cheered up by families and friends, they walked along the red carpet wearing different kinds of creative wedding gowns. How stunning they were. In addition, the mascots of the Monster Village, Kumar and Batou also dressed in wedding gowns to guide the new couples into the hall. Their cute and attractive looks motivated people to click their cameras.
Later, Magistrate Lin and Director Chang acted as witnesses for these new couples, with Legislator Lin Fang-yu acting as the matchmaker. Dai Fo-an and Lai Jia-zi and their parents represented the new couples to stamp their name chops on the wedding certificates evidence of their sweet vows. All the new couples kissed for 9 seconds with the countdown by Magistrate Lin to represent their vows to be eternal. The wedding ceremony was full of happiness.
In addition to this grand wedding ceremony, the sponsors provided 12 super sports cars for the new couples to take photos there. Magistrate Lin also took pictures with these 50 new couples to commemorate this ceremony. The total picture was grand and happy. It was nice to record this happy moment in their lives. In the venue, a feast serving gourmet dishes were offered as a treat for the guests and the new couples so that they had the opportunity to taste Nantou delicacies. There was also a lucky drawing of lots for their entertainment. The winning couple was overjoyed.
