    On November 7, Central Taiwan Agricultural Expo was opened at the Flower Sea, Xinshe. This year, with the theme of “the taste of Nantou” as theme, Nantou County displays its featured produce – tea and coffee. When participating in the opening ceremony, Deputy Magistrate Chen Cheng-sheng expressed his warm welcome to all people to visit Xinshe and taste the special products, namely tea, wine, coffee, fruits, and more of Nantou. He also invited people to learn more about the exciting hot spring spa in Nantou.

    Deputy Magistrate Chen expressed that it is the fifth anniversary of Central Taiwan Agricultural Expo, whose theme is the safe farm produce produced in Taichung, Changhua, and Nantou, and Taichung is the host of the expo this year. Each of the three counties has prepared a theme gallery and theme activities to promote their quality farm produce. At Nantou Gallery, free drinks are available to all visitors. Welcome visitors in Taiwan to visit Xinshe and purchase quality farm produce.

    With the theme of the “taste of Nantou,” Nantou Gallery has prepared 7 display areas, including food safety, tea, wine, farm produce, coffee, plum, and hand made. The plum area is carefully decorated, with the demonstration of an authentic plum tree. Plum products are made on site to serve the visitors free, displaying the diversity of plum products.

    In addition to presenting the farm produce of the towns and township of Nantou, coffee girl and kung-fu tea kid dolls are placed at the entrance, where two mascots, Huan Huan and Si Si (meaning happiness) welcome visitors. In order to allow people eat with peace of mind, the production resume of all the produce as displayed. People can check the process of growing, inspecting, packing, marketing, and display by simply scanning the QR code.

    Nantou Hot Spring Festival 2015 will begin on December 31 at Puli, Dongpu, and Beigang. Deputy Magistrate Chen welcomes people from Taiwan to enjoy the fun of hot spring spa after visiting the flower exhibition in Taichung. In addition, the theme of Nantou Floral Carnival 2015 will be “Blossom Blooms in Nantou.” It will be launched in 7 towns and townships in the county from December 13.
