Want to ask something about the taste of Taiwan? 8 “Information Stations” are here to help you
    8 “Information Stations,” including “Taiwan Mochi Museum,” “Guoxin Station,” “Plum Dream Works,” and more are launched officially. The Tourism Bureau, Ministry of transportation and Communications and Nantou County Government sponsored a press conference at the square of Jiji Rail Station on November 27. Chang Chen-chien, the Director-general of Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area and Wang Yuan-chung, the Director-general of Nantou County Government Tourism Department attended the conference and hosted the inauguration ceremony together to announce the launching of “Informatoin Station” into the service of Nantou tourism.

    With the performance of the light and happy tune of “Flowery Heart” by the ocarina ensemble of Yong Chang Elementary School at Jiji, the press conference commenced. In his speech, Director-general Wang expressed that now there are 115 “Information Stations” in Taiwan, and 8 of them are located in Nantou. When people want to ask anything about traveling information they can get enthusiastic advice there. He also thanked the Tourism Bureau to established “Information Station” to provide travel agents a common platform to exchange and share information.

    The Tourism Department expressed that the county government invited 8 travel agents in the country to operate “friend, convenient, and considerate” traveling “Information Station,” including five stations operated by the county government: “Taiwan Mochi Museum,” “Jiji Rail Station,” “Plum Dream Works,” “Guoxin Station,” and “Family Mart-6, Mingjian Jingjiaoliu.” Visitors checking in any one of these four stations: “Taiwan Mochi Museum,” “Jiji Rail Station,” “Plum Dream Works,” and “Guoxin Station, and uploading the photos to their official websites can have lovely souvenirs. There will be 1000 lovely gifts. Quantities are limited, so it’s first come, first served. The activity will end at the end of 2015.

    The Information Stations at Resort Zen and Pine at Shuili, OTOP Taiwan Local Cultural Products-Sun Moon Lake store at Yuci Township, and Newland Community Education Center of Paper Dome at Puli Township are operated by

    Sun Moon Lake Administration Office. Visitors checking in here, and uploading to the official fans page, “Rediscovering Sun Moon Lake” are eligible for limited 3-D landscape postcards.
