    The voting of the Top Ten Bikeways 2015 has been completed recently. The Jiji Green Tunnel and Around-Town Bikeway and the Sun Moon Lake Bikeway in Nantou are included in the top ten bikeways. Many county folks are delighted. On December 9, Magistrate Lin Ming-chen went to Jiji Rail Station and the Around-Town Bikeway to act in the ad in order to promote these places, allowing more people to know the charm of Jiji Bikeway. In the ad, both the magistrate and a Nantou bike team promoted Jiji highly.

    Magistrate Lin pointed out there are camphor trees clusters more than 60 years old in the Green Tunnel. Both the scenes and air quality there are excellent, regarded as one of the best landscapes in Taiwan. It is very suitable for cycling. The Around-Town Bikeway connects to famous sightseeing spots, such as Jiji Rail Station. In Jiji, riding bikes under the tree shades with a train accompanying along the rail is a marvelous sight and is special and enjoyable.

    Jiji entered the Top Ten Bikeways 2015 voting with the Green Tunnel and Around-Town Bikeway. This route is highly recommended by cyclists, with high popularity among biking fans. It runs through major sightseeing spots in Jiji, such as Jiji Rail Station, Mingcin Academy, Endemic Species Research Institute, Wuchang Temple, Big Camphor Trees Park, Green Tunnel, Longquan Station, and more. Along the way, green trees provide plenty of shade. It is pleasant and relaxing.

    “Let’s go for a ride!” The charm of the Green Tunnel is irresistible. Magistrate Lin expects to promote this place with this ad. In addition, the Energy Bike Team of Nantou was also invited to perform in this ad, inviting visitors to enjoy cycling along these greenways. Along the path, visitors can enjoy the landscapes around the street corners in this little town, as well as the scenes of the rail covered with shade. Specifically, the old camphor trees along the Green Tunnel seem to welcome all visitors with their green leaves. Cycling along this bikeway is really a great enjoyment.
