Ching Jing No Longer Lacks Water County Mayor Launched Two Large Reservoirs
The Ching Jing area had experienced a water shortage issue during the drought period in Ren-ai Township and finally found a resolution. The two large reservoirs were completed and built by the county government after its construction. County Mayer Ming-Chen Lin launched a ceremony at Ren-Ai Junior High School on February 16 to collaborate with many guests to open the valve. All his fellow countrymen and practitioners on-site were really thrilled and happy, and they affirmed the administrative capabilities of County Mayor Lin.
They were County Councilors Mei-Ling Chiu, Fang-Yu Lin, Ching-Lung Shih, and Wen-Hsien Liao, and Ren-ai Town Mayor Wen-Po Kung, Representative Council Chair Wen-Chung Wu, Ching-Jing Tourism Association Board Director Chen-Yu Wei, County Government Education Dept. Director Ya-Ling Peng, Indigenous People's Bureau Secretary Tzu-Hsiao Chang, and other local gentry who came on-site to celebrate the event together. The students from Ren-ai Junior High School also participated in the aboriginal opening dance full of energy and brilliance. The ceremony was completed successfully under the rain on a foggy day.
County Mayor Lin climbed up the reservoirs in person to take a look at its top and understand the related facilities and features of the reservoirs. A group of people even headed toward the 1200-tonne large reservoir built upstream after the ceremony to check on it in a site meeting. County Mayor Lin said he was worried about the water shortage issue around the Ching Jing area ever since he was a legislator. He held several coordination committees at the local level and escorted his fellow countrymen to go northbound to visit the Water Resources Agency and asked for funding. He was so glad that the reservoirs were completed smoothly. With these two large reservoirs, the water shortage issue in winter around the Ching Jing area can be solved successfully. As for future pipeline maintenance issues, it will take a lot of effort to ask the Management Committee of Simple Tap Water to help out in doing the maintenance. Hopefully, everyone can cherish the water resources and protect them altogether.
The Indigenous People's Bureau said the 2 large reservoirs built after the construction were located in a place between Tsuifeng Pike and Meifeng Pike with an area of 1200 tonnes and 300s tonnes, exclusively used by Ren-ai Junior High School. The total amount for outsourcing is 6-million-and-47-thousand dollars.
The water source of this 1200-tonne reservoir is the Tzu-Feng River. The water is clean. There are currently 5 water pipes that were connected to supply water downstream. The relevant easy tap water facilities were all built and respectively made by the county government after the 921 Earthquake. Up till now, the two large reservoirs were completed, all of which can provide and supply about 6,000 people with water around the Big Ching Jing area. It effectively and efficiently solved the water shortage issue in winter.
