Activation of New Building for Panshan Police Station County Magistrate Lin Encourages Police Officers to Continue Striving for Public Security
After more a year of construction, the new building for the Panshan Police Station, Nantou Branch, County Police Bureau was completed in January this year. The completion and activation ceremony been held on June 27th. With the company of police commissioner Ching-Hsien Wei, County Magistrate Ming-Chen Lin attended the ribbon-cutting, signboard-unveiling, and key-activating ceremonies personally, hoping that working in the new office venue with comprehensive facilities, the police may provide more suitable services to continue striving for Nantou’s public security.
County Magistrate Lin indicated, the structure of the former Panshan Police Station office building was damaged due to the 921 earthquake. Moreover, with the rearrangement of the policy duty district as well as the addition of the traffic team, where the number of people was increased to 24 from 15, hence the old office building is no longer sufficient for use. The land for the new office building was originally agreed upon by the National Property Administration, Ministry of Finance for the use as the post office headquarters, but with active coordination with the post office headquarters during the period acting as a legislator and obtained the access from the National Property Administration for free appropriation to allow the county government in constructing the office building. This was done in the hopes of offering the police officers with a comprehensive new venue for working in order to continue maintaining the public security environment within the county.
County Council Chief Secretary Kuo-Chung Chen indicated, Speaker Sheng-Feng Ho thinks that a quality office venue should be provided to allow the police colleagues with more dedication towards serving the people and maintaining the public security, other office buildings will be improved continuously in the future. Nantou Mayor Huai-Lin Sung pointed out, the former office building was narrow and small, and the new office building is absolutely beautiful. It provides police colleagues with a comfortable working environment, so that they may continue to strive for the traffic and public security within the county.
Former County Magistrate Yuan-Lang Lin, county members Kuo-Chang Wu, Wen-Pin Chuang, Yen-Hsueh Lai, Chen-Yen Tseng, Hsiu-Ying Yu, as well as Chief Secretary Chen and Mayor Sung all attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new office building for Panshan Police Station with County Magistrate Lin. They also entered the new office building for a tour to understand the working environment of police officers.
County Police Bureau indicated, the newly constructed Panshan Police Station is located at the crossroads of Pingshan 2nd Rd. and Sinshih Rd. The engineering began in November of 2014, and was completed on January 27, 2016, with matters such as acceptance verification followed by the activation ceremony on June 27th. The office building consists of 4 floors, with a total floor area of 992m2, and an overall expenditure of NTD 41.5 million.
