This flag just like chessboard, area about 3,000 sq. meter, is the beautiful scene of south Hosin village. The original chessboard stone is oblong flat valley place, during rainwater and diastrophism all the year, integral large tracts become to many pieces of crisscross pattern flag, therefore form the chessboard's view.

Having I.D. Cards of their own, Siaonan is one of the five rare tree species in Taiwan, with only 88 gigantic trees of age over 100 existing in the island. At present it is listed as a natural ecological preservation area. The area is full of wild plants, tall trees, depicting a haven of peace away from the turmoil of the world. It is also a favorite location for photographers.
