Agricultural products: tea, Zizania latiflia (Water bamboo), green plums, turnips, sweet peppers, bananas, olives, passion fruit and tea-oil trees.
Flowers: roses, Dahlia, Serissa japonica (Thunb.) Thunb. (Serissa), Gerbera and Oncidium spp. (a type of orchids).
Besides agriculture, forestry, fishing and husbandry, 27.04% of the total employable population is involved in industrial production and 51.78% in the service field (up to the end of 2003).  Nangang and Jhushan Industrial Parks occupy an area of 634.08 hectares and are presently the headquarters for industrial production in Nantou.  There are 1,326 factories and 25,538businesses registered in Nantou (up to December 2005).  These manufacturers and companies are the power that drives commercial and industrial development in Nantou.
