Taiwan Order Furniture Corporation promotes the Hundred-Forest Plan and planted trees at Xitou in the 8th Tree Planting Ceremony, November 11
The leading furniture brand, the Taiwan Order Furniture Corporation, came to Xitou, Nantou on the 11th to conduct the 8th Tree Planting Ceremony of the Hundred-Forest Plan. Led by President Chen Kuo-Tu, the staff planted 150 indigenous trees of Taiwan – the Taiwan Incense-cedar together. Magistrate Lin Ming-Chen also attended the ceremony and planted a tree himself. He would like to encourage together the people and enterprises in Taiwan to contribute themselves to reduce carbon emissions in Taiwan.

This year, the Order Group and NTU Experimental Forest collaborated to conduct this tree planting activity at Xitou area on the slope near the Neihu Elementary School. Deputy Director Wei Chiang of the NTU Experimental Forest, President Wang Cho-Chung of China Times Daily and many honorable guests attended the ceremony together. In addition to announcing the inauguration of the Hundred-Forest Plan, they also planted an incense cedar trees, respectively. On behalf of the director, Deputy Director Wei of the NTU Experimental Forest presented an adoption certificate to President Chen to symbolize the new beginning of their joint project of afforestation.

In the speech presented by Magistrate Lin, he expressed his special thanks to the Order Group that upholds the sustaining corporate social responsibility in environmental protection to reduce carbon emission by planting trees in the beautiful forest in Xitou, Nantou. Namely, Xitou is a renowned vacation resort in Taiwan, it is essential to maintain the natural environment. He also hopes more enterprises to participate in the project of tree planting. It cannot only reduce the air pollution but also achieve the goal of carbon emissions reduction. Likewise, the natural ecology of the forests in Taiwan will be revived.
