The inauguration and handover ceremony of 19th Nantou County Mayor was held in the auditorium of Cultural Affairs Bureau on December 25th. Under the supervision of Minister Zhu ZeMin, Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan, Hsu ShuHua was sworn in and officially took office as the first women mayor in Nantou County.

With the rhythmic drumming played by the Taiko drumming team of PingHe Elementary School at the gate of the Cultural Bureau to welcome the guests, including the outgoing Mayor Lin MingChen, Legislator Ma WenChun, Former Deputy Mayor Chen ZhengSheng, figures in educational world and business groups, and County Mayor Hsu’s parents, nearly a thousand people participated to witness the inauguration of the first women county mayor in Nantou County.

Under people’s constant request for group photos, County Mayor Hsu shown her popularity and approachability to almost all comers, leaving behind the most beautiful historical figure.

In the auditorium, many exquisite performances were separately performed by Butterfly Symphony Orchestra, the string band of DaCheng Junior High School, the symphonic band of the Affiliated Senior High School of National Chi-Nan University, and the symphonic band of the National Chi-Nan University. Moreover, the "Clapping Song" by the Juann Choir of Mingho Junior High School made the grand atmosphere joyful.

Subsequently, under the supervision of Zhu ZeMin, Lin MingChen handed over the seal to the new county mayor to complete the handover ceremony. “The new county mayor is familiar with the local area. She has put forward three main axes, ten visions and the concept of creating a livable city. I believe she will show the wisdom of "Wonder Woman" and build more wonderful Nantou.” said Zhu ZeMin. “County Mayor Hsu has put forward a lot of political opinions. I believe that based on the foundation laid by the outgoing mayor, she will make Nantou better with more creative ideas.” said Legislator Ma WenChun.

In her inaugural speech, County Mayor Hsu ShuHua expressed her gratitude to the folks who used their votes on November 26th to write a new record in the history of Nantou’s autonomy, which created a new milestone of the first women county mayor in Nantou since.
