Nantou County Mayor Hsu ShuHua led a delegation to participate in the Two Lakes Forum in July to market the Nantou County’s agricultural products to China under the collaboration with the county farmers' association. As being the outcome of the forum, a container loading ceremony for the teas with a total of 7,000 Taiwan catties was held on the 23rd to ship the teas to 3 cities in China: Hangzhou, Ningbo and Huzhou. The total export volume has reached 15,000 Taiwan catties, including the loading volume this time and the one in first batch shipped recently, bringing more than NT$50 million in revenue to Nantou County. Nantou County teas not only archive the remarkable success in the export sales, but also make headway in international trade.

Thanks to the promotion by the county government for the cooperation between farmers' associations at all levels in the county and Hangzhou Hailan Shengfu Trading Co., Ltd. (杭州海藍盛富貿易有限責任公司) in Hangzhou City, Ningbo Baoying Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. (寧波寶盈供應鏈管理有限公司) in Ningbo City, and Huzhou Zhebei Mansion Supermarket Co., Ltd. (湖州浙北大廈超市有限公司) in Huzhou City, the tea export sales this time have consolidated the position of Nantou teas in the international market. For this reason, a container loading ceremony and export outcome press conference was specially held, attended by County Mayor Hsu ShuHua, Jiang LinBing, director of the Nantou County Farmers’ Association, Zeng MingRui, director-general of the Nantou County Farmers' Association, Legislator Ma WenChun, county councilors Lin JuYang, Yu Hao and Lin FangYu, Su RuiXiang, director of Department of Agriculture, and other guests to witness the ceremony. The Nantou County Farmers’ Association took this opportunity to thank County Mayor Hsu and the county government for their efforts in agricultural product marketing.

According to County Mayor Hsu, in her stay for Two Lakes Forum a few months ago, she and the county farmers' association visited Hangzhou, Ningbo and Huzhou for deliberation over the Nantou County agricultural product orders, and eventually successfully won the orders with a total of NT$1 billion. She expressed her gratitude to the county farmers' association for the efforts and hard work. This year, the sales amount of container-loaded teas has reached NT$50 million, which makes farmers very excited. In addition to domestic sales, the county government is aware of the importance of opening up different international markets. Therefore, it not only promotes Nantou's agricultural products internationally, but also holds Global Tea Expo annually to successfully attract the eyes of domestic and foreign friends on Nantou tea. The tea drinking culture of China is similar to Taiwan. The successful sale of Nantou tea this time encourages farmers to optimize a variety of processed farm products and to ensure product quality. On top of that, she hopes the central government is able to discover more opportunities for local cities/townships in tourism and agriculture, enabling the global enjoying Nantou's high-quality agricultural products.
