Ribbon-cutting Ceremony attended by County Mayor Hsu Marks the Completion of the New Access Road for Wan Lai Industrial Park, Dec. 12th

Nantou Wan Lai Industrial Park (南投市旺來產業園區) has successfully invited 10 well-known enterprises to reside, which have accelerated the construction of tourism factories and R&D headquarters respectively. In addition, a new access road, the WanLai Road, which cost more than NT$110 million, is completed under the eager anticipation of the resided enterprises, the nearby communities and schools. County Mayor Hsu ShuHua and many guests opened the new road on the 12th. In the ceremony, County Mayor Hsu announced that the transportation network connecting Nangang Industrial Park (南崗工業區) to Mingjian Township will be continuously improved. Moreover, the second phase of Wan Lai Park will be built to expand the site area of the industrial park to create a brand new and flexible industrial cluster.

County Mayor Hsu pointed out that the development of the Wan Lai Industrial Park is a great success. Not only resided enterprises, such as Sunny Hills Delights Inc. (Brand: SunnyHills), Shih Chen Foods Co., Ltd. (Brand: 3:15PM), Shan Mai Food Co., Ltd. (Well-known taro pastry), Altamoda Cosmetics Group Co., Ltd., and Hsinnjy Industrial Co., Ltd., are in full swing to build their own tourism factory, but also the listed company, Swancor Holding Co., Ltd, is planning to establish its R&D and production laboratory and enterprise headquarter in the park. It can be anticipated that in the near future, there will be an endless stream of tourists and countless tour buses entered into or released from the park. Originally, the only access road of the park is the existing Leli Road, which passes through WuYu Senior High School, Shenmu Community, and Nantou Public Housing, making the resided enterprises, community residents, and schools deeply worried. Fortunately, former county mayor Lin MingChen was aware of it, and discussed in advance with County Mayor Hsu when she was still a legislator to prioritize the building of the access road for Wan Lai Park. Now that the road is completed, despite the fact that the former county mayor Lin politely declined to participant its ribbon-cutting ceremony, County Mayor Hsu asked attendees applaud him to express gratitude.

“Once the resided enterprises complete building plants in Wan Lai Park, the annual production value is estimated to be about NT$3 billion with about 1,000 job opportunities increased and about 10,000 tourists per week visited. It will activate Nantou’s overall economy and have a multiplier effect on future development, making Nantou an anticipated prosperous city. The county government will continue to develop the Wan Lai Park Phase II and also promote the expansion of the site area for Nangang Industrial Park, hoping to attract more enterprises to invest in Nantou by both tourism factories and traditional industries,” said County Mayor Hsu.
